Karen

Karen joined Pertemps Professional Development as a Senior Consultant, with responsibility for managing our colleagues who work with us on an associate basis. Prior to this Karen worked primarily in policing, as a Senior Psychologist at the College of Policing, but also as an independent assessor in the wider public sector. Karen has a proven track record of designing and delivering assessment solutions from high volume entry level through to chief executive appointments. During her time with the College of Policing, she was instrumental in establishing and growing a consultancy service, partnering at senior level to provide solution for HR professionals, key national stakeholders and elected representatives, as well as executive development support to senior leaders. Karen received an award from the Police Research Award Scheme for Innovation in Research.

Karen is an experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologist specialising in the field of assessment, selection and training. She is experienced in developing and managing teams of psychologists, associates and members of client organisations to design, deliver and evaluate both nationally administered and bespoke assessment solutions.   Karen is passionate about translating the theories of occupational psychology into high quality, robust, defensible but proportionate practice.
